Cevdet YILMAZ

Cevdet Yılmaz was born in Bingöl in 1967.

Graduated from the Middle East Technical University Department of Public Administration with a first class honors degree, Mr. Yılmaz attained his master’s degree from Denver University Department of International Studies, and doctorate’s degree from Bilkent University Department of Political Science and Public Administration.

Mr. Yılmaz served as the Director General of Relations with the European Union at the Prime Ministry Undersecretariat of State Planning Organization, and a member of the boards of the Turkish National Agency, the European Union Research and Application Center (ATAUM) and Sümer Halı.

Elected as Bingöl deputy at 23rd, 24th, 26th and 27th terms, and as Diyarbakır at 25th term, Mr. Yılmaz served as the Head of the Turkish Group at the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU). He served as a State Minister at the 60th Government, as the Minister of Development at the 61st, 62nd and 64th Governments, and as a Deputy Prime Minister at the 63rd Government. He was a member of the AK Party CDAC, and AK Party Deputy Chair in charge of Foreign Relations and Economic Affairs. Between November 2020 and June 2023, Mr. Yılmaz served as the Head of the Committee on Planning and Budget at the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye. He has been serving as Vice President since June 3, 2023.

Fluent in English, Mr. Yılmaz is married with two children.

İbrahim Ömer GÖNÜL

He was born in Ankara in 1973. He graduated from the Economics Department of Bilkent University and completed his master’s degree at the Business Department of the Graduate School of Social Sciences at Atılım University.
He worked as an assistant specialist and specialist in money markets in the Fund Management Department of Şekerbank T.A.Ş. In 2004, he started working at the Capital Markets Board, where he served in the Department of Institutional Investors. After holding the positions of Personnel Manager and Deputy Head of Department, he was appointed as Deputy Chairman of the Board in 2014.
Gönül was appointed Chairman of the Capital Markets Board of Türkiye on April 18, 2022.
Gönül is fluent in English and has intermediate proficiency in German. He is married and has two children.

Korkmaz ERGUN

Korkmaz Ergun earned his undergraduate degree at Ankara University Faculty of Political Science, Department of Business Administration and started his career at Borsa İstanbul the same year. He completed his masters’ degree and PhD at Marmara University, Faculty of Economics. Having 25 years of Stock Exchange and Capital Markets experience, Ergun has administered the evaluation of the initial public offerings of numerous companies, and the examination and market activities of the companies listed on Borsa İstanbul. Moreover, Ergun is the Deputy Chairman of Takasbank Board of Directors. He is also a Board Member of the World Federation of Exchanges (WFE).

Pamir KARAGÖZ

Pamir Karagöz started her professional career as an auditor in 1998 and held various positions in Citibank Turkey's Consumer Banking between 1999 and 2008, including Strategy, Sales, Wealth Management.

In 2008, she was appointed as a senior executive responsible for Premier Banking and investment products at Barclays Emerging Markets' Dubai regional office. At Barclays, she led new market entry strategies, product development, customer value management and strategic channel management in 14 countries, including Russia, United Arab Emirates, India, Indonesia, Egypt, Pakistan, and African countries

Between 2011 and 2012, she served as a senior executive responsible for wealth management; sales and marketing of investment, insurance and mortgage products in United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Qatar during Mashreqbank’s restructuring process.

From 2012 to 2015, she served as the Director responsible for strategy, marketing, and business development at Deloitte Turkey. Between 2015 and 2018, she served as the Executive Vice President responsible for Retail and Wealth Management at QNB Invest. Since February 2018, she has been serving as the General Manager and Board Member of QNB Invest and Board Member of QNB Asset Lease Company. As of March 2024, she is appointed as the Chairperson of the Board of Directors of QNB Digital Assets.

Since 2018, Pamir Karagöz has been serving as a Board Member and Audit Committee Member of the Turkish Capital Markets Association and since 2020, she has been a Board Member of the Capital Markets Licensing Registry and Training Agency. In May 2024, she was elected as the Chairperson of the Board of the Turkish Capital Markets Association and was also appointed as the Deputy Chairperson of the Board of the Central Securities Depository & Trade Repository.

Pamir Karagöz is graduated from Middle East Technical University Business Administration and she has an MBA in Business from the University of Chicago Booth School. She also has a leadership certificate from Harvard Business School.

Pamir Karagöz is married and has one daughter.

Adnan BALİ

Mr. Adnan Bali graduated from Middle East Technical University with a BS degree in Economics, and began his banking career at İşbank in the Board of Inspectors as Assistant Inspector. Mr. Bali served at Fund Management Department as Assistant Manager in 1994, as Group Manager in 1997 and was promoted to Head of Fund Management in 1998. Mr. Bali was appointed as Branch Manager of Şişli Branch in 2002, Galata Branch in 2004, and was promoted to the post of Deputy Chief Executive in 30 May 2006. He was appointed as the CEO of İşbank in 1 April 2011.

In addition to İşbank, Mr. Adnan Bali serves as the Chairperson of Türkiye Şişe ve Cam Fabrikaları A.Ş., and İşbank Members Supplementary Pension Fund.

Mr. Bali, who was elected as a member of İşbank's Board of Directors on 31 March 2021 and 30 March 2023 and as the Chairperson of İşbank on 1 April 2021, 25 March 2022, 31 March 2023 and 29 March 2024 also serves as the Chairperson of the Remuneration Committee, the Risk Committee, the Sustainability Committee and the Board of Directors Operating Principles Committee and a member of the Credit Committee.

Tayfun BAYAZIT

After obtaining a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from S. Illinois University and a Master's degree in Finance and International Relations (MBA-1983) from Columbia University, Bayazıt began his banking career at Citibank. He then spent 13 years in high-level executive roles within the Çukurova Group, including Deputy General Manager at Yapı Kredi, General Manager at Interbank, and CEO at Banque de Commerce et de Placement S.A. in Switzerland. In 1999, he was appointed Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors at Doğan Holding and an Executive Director of Dışbank, before assuming the role of CEO at Dışbank in 2001 within the same group. In July 2005, following the majority acquisition of Dışbank's shares by Fortis, he was appointed as the CEO of Fortis Türkiye and became a member of Fortis’ Global Management Committee. In 2006, he took on the role of Chairman of the Board at Fortis Turkey. In 2007, he returned to Yapı Kredi (a UniCredit - Koç partnership) as an Executive Board Member and General Manager and was appointed Chairman of the Board in 2009. Bayazıt left his position at Yapı Kredi in August 2011 to start his own business, “Bayazit Consulting Services.”. He currently serves as an independent board member of publicly traded companies, as well as chairman of the boards of the Marsh McLennan Group, Turkey, and Aura Portfolio. In addition, Bayazıt holds a position in the TÜSİAD High Advisory Council and is active in various non-governmental organizations. Since June 23, 2023, Bayazıt has been serving as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Polisan Holding.

Temel GÜZELOĞLU

Temel Güzeloğlu Member of the Board of Directors Born in 1969, Güzeloğlu has BSc degrees from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Physics Departments of the Boğaziçi University. Güzeloğlu received an MSc degree from Northeastern University Electrical and Computer Engineering and an MBA from Bilgi University. Güzeloğlu worked as the Executive Vice President of Finansbank responsible for consumer banking till August 2008. He then served as Executive Vice President of Retail Banking and Member of Management Committee until April 2010. From April 2010 to January 2022, he served as the General Manager of QNB Finansbank. Since 1 January 2022, he was been appointed as a Board Member of QNB Finansbank A.Ş. and he is also the Chairman of QNB Finans Invest, QNB eFinans, IB Tech, QNB Wise and the Board Member of QNB Sigorta. Beside these positions; he is the Chairman of Enpara A.Ş. Before joining QNB Finansbank he worked at McKinsey & Co. between 2000-2004, Citibank between 1996-2000 and Unilever between 1994-1996 in various positions.
